How I Got Clickjacked

With so many deceptive online scams trying to separate you from your money and/or personal information, even a security pro can be fooled into taking the bait. Shannon McCarty-Caplan, Trend Micro's Consumer Security Advocate, learned about clickjacking the hard way—she was a victim.

It all started when she received a Twitter message from a friend that asked, "Did you see this picture of you lol?" and included a shortened web link. When she clicked the link she found the email was not sent from her friend—it was malicious spam, and the shortened web link brought her to a fake Twitter site to steal her password.
