What's New ======================================================================== This patch combines all "hot fix packages" that were released after the release of OfficeScan 6.5 (build 1030). With this patch, users apply the patch instead of individually executing a series of hot fix packages. Prior to the realease of this patch, if a user applied any hot fix package after hot fix 1303, they would need to sequentially execute again all these hot fix packages. 2.1 Resolved Known Issues (from Previous Versions) ===================================================================== 1. The BSOD hapens when Virtual PC driver is also installed. 2. The BSoD happens when one NIC has more than 11 IP addresses. 3. The BSoD happens when connecting with a cable modem by the USB cable. 4. Windows system frozed when sending flagment packet to CFW enabled OSCE client. 5. A customer's domain, named "Network", disappears in the Remote Install console. 6. The client tree on the management console doesn't fully support accented characters, such as Scandinavian, Baltics and German ones. 7. When the AutoPcc installation file was launched, the OfficeScan client program was automatically installed on machines running both the server and workstation versions of their operating system. 8. OfficeScan clients on 98 platform fail to perform Update Now from Trend Micro's active update server. 9. Trend Micro Vulnerability Scanner doesn't scan any IP addresses whose first 8 bits are 0 or 255, even if they are not a NET ID or Broadcast address. 10. In the event log of XP SP2 client, it shows an error 7022 if OSCE personal firewall service starts before Netman and WinMgmt service. 11. The OfficeScan client program hangs when downloading the mail scan utility from the OfficeScan server. 12. "Tmlisten" service cannot restart on OfficeScan clients that connect via a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. 13. OSCE watch dog service crashes and causes GPF right after installation or system reboot. 14. If the customer installed OfficeScan client using an MSI package made with Client Packager, the size of the folder "OSCE_MSI_NT_CLIENT" in the "Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs" was incorrectly listed as 4GB. The folder is actually empty and should not show any size information. This appeared on Windows XP SP2 clients only. 15. Administrators cannot successfully perform management actions on clients that appear in the client tree of the OfficeScan Web console 16. CTA plug-in(tmabpp.dll) shows error 1014 after update processes. 17. The client tree on management console becomes empty when one or more database files are corrupted. 18. GPF happens while receiving emails. 19. OfficeScan 5.58 clients fail to be upgraded to 6.5, and cannot update virus pattern file. 20. Database file corruption issues. A. The DbServer.exe process for the OfficeScan server may terminate unexpectedly because of database file corruption. This database file corruption problem is likely caused by Codebase version 6.4. Codebase announces the related problems in their Web site and they have fixed it in version 6.5. B. The DbServer.exe process may not successfully access the OfficeScan database files if the files are locked by another application. C. The DbServer.exe process may not close normally because the OfficeScan master service doesn't notify it when users shutdown their machine. 3. Locate the backup folder that the patch package created in the directory: \PCCSRV\Temp\6.5 Patch3 2. Copy any file that you want to rollback to the correct folder. 3. Execute the TmTouch.exe tool to trigger the hotfix mechanism. a. Open a command prompt on the server b. At the command prompt, browse to the folder PCCSRV\admin\utility\touch. c.
